AENIB challenges the associates with a fun "Trivia of the sea"
As part of its mission of leadership and renewal, the Association of Nautical Companies in the Balearic Islands, AENIB, has renamed the event held every year to bring together the Balearic nautical sector as "Gala del Mar". This year another novelty was included to liven up the evening and break the ice between the tables of attendees; the fun quiz "Trivial of the Sea".
With this entertaining game, the nautical professionals who attended the "XV Gala del Mar" demonstrated their real knowledge of the sector and the Balearic nautical employer association AENIB. It provided a way for the association to facilitate conversation and interaction between the members at each of the tables, as to answer the questions the associates had to comment and discuss the alternatives, and then write down their answer on a card that was given to each table.
The nine questions of the "Trivial of the Sea" included obvious questions such as the year of foundation of AENIB, the name of the secretary or the cost of the membership fee, and other more current questions such as the name of the new federation in which the association has joined. These questions instigated pleasant conversation between the attendees and made them recall great moments lived in the sector and share their experiences and memories.
One more initiative promoted by AENIB with a purpose of strengthening the team spirit within the industry so that the whole sector continues to work together and thus remain a benchmark at an international level.
Despite the fact that the master of ceremonies and member of the AENIB Board of Directors, Fernando Larunbe, had asked the members of the board to go into "spectator mode", some tables played with the advantage of having the president of the association, Jaume Vaquer, and its honorary president, Margarita Dahlberg, as members of their group. Proof of this was a tie between the two teams, which Larunbe had to resolve with an improvised "evens and odds", of which he had to explain the rules, and in the end Jaume Vaquer was the winner. However, to everybody´s surprise the medals went to the table with the fewest correct answers, as a prize for putting faces to "the bad guys of the evening". It was an unexpected turn of events that was applauded by all those present and provoked more than a few laughs.
With all these new features and reforms, without a doubt this will be one of the most memorable "Gala del Mar" for all AENIB members. Some even confessed that for the next edition they will come prepared and have already started to prepare for the next "Trivial of the Sea".
