At AENIB, we firmly believe in honest dialogue and selfless collaboration among all stakeholders, associations, entities, and representatives in the sector, both with each other and with the relevant maritime authorities and institutions. We believe in the importance of taking care of the health and prosperity of one of the most dynamic, innovative, internationally prestigious economic engines with future potential that Balearic Islands possess. It's worth emphasizing, perhaps stating the obvious, that our territories are surrounded by the sea.

2023 has been a year of changes and uncertainty. Uncertainty due to the economic turbulence we are going through and the brutal wars afflicting the world. There have also been political changes in our islands, a result of the regional elections. New faces and different parties have entered to refresh the institutional landscape of the Balearic Islands, with changes in key administrations and institutions responsible for nautical affairs. We have even witnessed the birth of a Ministry of the Sea, an old demand of the sector championed for years by AENIB, which we are pleased to see become a reality.

AENIB has been working since its constitution for the benefit of the sector, sea enthusiasts, and society as a whole. Let us continue working together for the benefit of all citizens.
