AENIB/ANEN stand, the meeting point at PIBS
The Association of Nautical Companies in the Balearic Islands (AENIB) will once again participate in the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS), the boat show par excellence in the Mediterranean. During the event, AENIB will carry out various initiatives to promote the nautical companies of the islands.
The show puts the focus on Palma as the centre of international yachting from 27th to 30th April. It is one of the main events on the nautical calendar at an international level and brings together thousands of professionals from the sector worldwide every year. It is the perfect opportunity for the Balearic nautical companies and professionals to showcase their know-how and the high quality of their services and products.
As it couldn´t be any other way, AENIB will have its own stand, (A16, in the same location as in past editions) shared with the Spanish Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), which it forms part of. In addition to providing information on the activities of the entity and hosting various events, the stand provides a space for those members of the association who need a location for their meetings during the show. To apply for a space, the interested parties only need to write an email to secretaria@aenb.es. AENIB also provides a fridge and a storage cupboard for personal items on the stand. The members are welcome to use both.
The associated companies that are exhibiting at the show will be able to collect a distinctive badge of quality at the AENIB stand. This will accredit the exhibiting associates for their collaboration in the association, thus highlighting the unity of the sector and showing its strength as a nautical lobby. To allocate the badges and to take a group photo, a meeting will be held on the first day of the show, Thursday 27th, at 11 am.
That same day, at 12 noon, the president of AENIB, Jaume Vaquer, and the legal advisor of the entity, Sandra Mayrata, will participate in the official opening of the boat show as invitees of the Balearic Government. The inauguration of the show will be presided by the vice president of the Balearic Government, Pedro Yllanes.
On Friday 28th at 12:30, the AENIB stand will host a relaxed solidarity vermouth. During this event, where the associates will be able to network with colleagues, clients and collaborators, a piggy bank will be set up to collect voluntary and anonymous donations, funds that will be used for charitable actions carried out periodically by the association.
While on Thursday and Friday the AENIB stand will have a purely professional character, during the weekend it will take on a more relaxed and playful tone. There will be tables, paints and stencils related to the nautical world so that the younger ones can entertain themselves while their parents make the most of the show. As a gesture of support to quality nautical training, there will also be a photocall where children can portray themselves as nautical professionals, putting their faces to figures such as captains, engineers and nautical carpenters. In addition, on Saturday 29th at 11:30, Sonia Alcoberro will lead a yoga workshop for children through a story based on the sea. As places are limited, a prior registration should be made by emailing secretaria@aenb.es.
AENIB continues to support PIBS as an important showcase and a meeting point for the Balearic nautical sector, one of the main pillars of the economy of the Balearic Islands. In addition, it encourages, not only the companies and professionals in the sector, but also the citizens to come to the show and discover what the nautical sector, being one of the main economic engines of the islands, can provide for the whole community.
That is why AENIB recently renewed its agreement with the Institute for Business Innovation of the Balearic Islands (IDI) to promote the participation of its members in the boat show. Therefore, companies associated with AENIB will pay a discounted price for their participation in the fair.
The main nautical companies of the islands, associated with AENIB, will exhibit their innovations at the show, divided between the Superyacht Village area and Palma International Boat Show according to their activity. Companies such as Astilleros de Mallorca, Dahlberg, Ferdinautic, Hermanos Huelmo, Metalnox, Motonáutica Balear, PSB Marine Service, Precision Marine, Titan Marine Air Europe and Veles Tot Vent are located in the Refit & Repair area.
