In the country as a whole, 6,490 recreational boats were registered in the first 10 months of the year, 29.7% more than a year ago, when 5,003 registrations were recorded.
One of the best seasons
The 2021 season has been one of the best in many years for the nautical sector. The operations carried out this summer fuel the companies to improve the quality and increase the quantity of their output. With the focus on the challenge of the ecological transition, the sector has the capacity to retain and attract loyal nautical tourists and all the new ones that in these two years have enjoyed sailing in their free time or practiced the different leisure activities offered by the nautical sector", in the words of Carlos Sanlorenzo, president of ANEN. "Despite the fact that supply problems continue as in so many other industrial sectors, nautical companies, in general, continue with encouraging levels of demand that make foresee a year-end surplus and a 2022 with good expectations," he predicts.
