The Balearic nautical sector stands out at Boot Düsseldorf
From 18th to 26th, of January global leaders in the industry, including prominent companies from the Balearic nautical sector, are gathering at BOOT Düsseldorf, one of the world's most important boat shows. This event serves as a prime showcase for presenting the latest innovations in the industry.
Jaume Vaquer, president of the Association of Nautical Companies of the Balearic Islands (AENIB), highlights the strong Balearic presence at the event in Germany. “Several representatives from Balearic companies are here, as we work closely with different distributors and shipyards,” he explains.
Over these nine days, the international nautical industry is witnessing firsthand the launch of impressive new vessels, including day cruisers, RIBs, alternative propulsion boats, superyachts, and luxury yachts. However, the real trendsetters this year are smaller shipyards, presenting new boats of up to 12 meters in length.
In terms of innovation, this boat show continues to stand out for its wide range of accessories and nautical gadgets, many of which are visually striking. Attendees can observe the evolution of foiling technology, electric motors, and other cutting-edge advancements.
“What has surprised me the most about this edition—something we haven’t seen in years—is the sheer number of new boat models being introduced by brands that have committed to developing new construction projects. Many of these focus on the 40-foot range, which seems to be a key trend,” Vaquer noted. He added, “At first glance, customer interest in purchasing boats does not appear to be extremely high, but at least it is present.”
