The Balearic nautical sector strengthens ties with the local employment services

An unprecedented demand of personnel in the Balearic nautical sector is undoubtedly related to the lack of qualified professionals in maintenance and repair of boats. Both in the shipyards and in the companies that service the yachts in the islands there are many specialist jobs that are not easily filled.

This deficiency is alarming for the companies in the Balearic Islands. AENIB, as their representative, is aware of the situation and has taken action. Recently the employment services (Servei d'Ocupació de les Illes Balears -SOIB), in collaboration with AENIB, ANEN and the Balearic Marine Cluster, created a branch office specializing in job vacancies in the nautical sector.

In order to inform all interested parties and answer any questions that may arise, the four institutions have organized a virtual meeting for this coming Wednesday, October 27 at 08:30. In this meeting, the initiative will be formally presented. How this office functions and how it can be useful when searching for professional profiles for companies in the sector will also be detailed.

Only members of AENIB, ANEN and Balearic Marine Cluster will have access to this meeting. For organizational reasons, an invitation must be requested in advance by email from secretaria@aenb.es.
